RULES, Terms & Conditions

All nominations will be submitted by the peers of the potential candidates, herein referred to as ‘The People’. The People will be allowed up to three(3) nominations per category within the designated nomination period. Nominees MAY nominate themselves as well. All submitted potential nominees will then be reviewed by a pre-selected advisory panel who will ensure each nominee meets the set criteria before being moved in the competition. Once approved the nominees in each category will move into the first preliminary round of public voting. It is the responsibility of the nominators and Spread The Cheer USA and affiliates to notify the potential nominees of their entry into this competition.

Live Awards Show Date: April 13, 2025
Location: Palms Casino and Resort- Las Vegas, NV

The Cheer Choice Awards is a prestigious event that
celebrates positive creators who are making a meaningful impact on social media
platforms. The awards aim to recognize and honor individuals who spread
positivity, inspire change, and contribute to the betterment of society through
their online presence.

Nomination Process:

  1. Eligibility:
    Any individual who actively engages on social media platforms and meets
    the criteria listed below is eligible for nomination. This includes both
    self-nominations and nominations of others.
  2. Nomination Criteria: Nominees must meet the following criteria to be considered
    for the Cheer Choice Awards:
    • Positive
      Impact:
      The nominee’s content should have a demonstrable positive
      impact on their audience, community, or a specific cause.
    • Engagement:
      Nominee’s content should encourage engagement, discussions, and
      interactions that promote positivity and meaningful connections.
    • Originality:
      Nominee’s content should exhibit creativity, originality, and a unique
      perspective.
    • Consistency:
      Nominee should have consistently produced content that aligns with their
      positive message over a significant period.
    • Ethical
      Behavior:
      Nominee should adhere to ethical guidelines and community
      standards of the respective social media platforms and hold true to
      ethical standards on and off their platform.
    • Nominee
      Participation:
      The nominee should have a willingness to participate in
      the voting rounds and the Cheer Choice Awards live show.
  3. Nominee Criminal History: Any nominee who has a criminal charge on their
    record within the last 5 years is unable to participate in the Cheer
    Choice Awards. If it’s discovered that a nominee has criminal charges at
    any point during the nomination or voting process, they will be removed
    and no refunds will be given.
  4. Nomination Submission: During the nomination period, individuals can submit
    nominations through the official Cheer Choice Awards website. Nominators
    are required to provide the nominee’s social media handle URLs, along with
    a brief description of 3 examples highlighting how the nominee meets the
    criteria as well as their confirmed and accurate contact details.
  5. Categories: There are a total of 30 categories across the following: Arts, Dance, Education, Entertainment, Environment and Nature, Family & Lifestyle, Fitness, Health and Wellness, Inclusion, Music, Overall Excellence, Public Service and Sports. Nominees in categories segmented by follower count will be designated based on their follower count at the start of the competition. These assignments are final and will not be adjusted during the competition, regardless of any changes in follower count.
  1. Informing a Nominee: The team at the Cheer Choice Awards along with the
    nominator will make their best effort to inform the nominee that they have been nominated prior to the public voting round beginning. If there is no contact or willingness to participate with the nominee prior to the public voting rounds, the nominee may be removed from the competition.
  2. Nominee Approval: Nominations will be reviewed by a panel of judges appointed
    by the organizing committee. Approved nominees will be notified via email or mail
    and will move into the public voting round.

Public Voting Round:

  1. Voting
    Period:
    The public voting round will take place after the nominee
    approval process. The voting rounds are as follows:
    Preliminary – November 15, 2024 – November 29, 2024
    Round 1 – December 5, 2024– December 10, 2024
    Round 2 – December 12, 2024– December 17, 2024
    Round 3 – December 19, 2024- December 23, 2024
    Finals – December 26, 2024 – December 30, 2024
  2. Voting
    Methods:

    • Free
      Daily Votes:
      Anyone with a valid email address can cast one free vote
      per day for their favorite nominee during the voting period. Voters may
      not create additional email addresses to vote again within that same day.
      Those votes will be flagged and disqualified.
    • Purchase
      Votes:
      Participants may purchase vote packages at designated rates.
      The proceeds from purchased votes will be a direct donation to Spread The
      Cheer USA and other nonprofit organizations supporting various causes.
  3. Transparency:
    The total number of free and purchased votes for each nominee will be
    updated regularly on the official voting website, ensuring transparency
    and fairness in the voting process.
  4. Fairness:
    Nominees may NOT vote for themselves or utilize bots, 3rd party voting
    sites or pay others to purchase votes on their behalf. Any creator who
    violates these rules will be disqualified and no refunds from existing
    purchased votes shall be given. Voting software used to capture votes will
    flag any unethical votes.
  5. Top
    5:
    The top 5 nominees with the highest combined tally of free and
    purchased votes in each category will be invited to attend the Cheer
    Choice Awards live show in Las Vegas at the Palms Casino and Resort on
    April 13, 2025. Travel and accommodations are not included for the top 5
    nominees. However, each top 5 nominee will receive an additional 2 (TWO)
    nominee/VIP ticket packages to all events for the entire weekend for
    family or friends, be interviewed by our official livestreaming
    partner, receive 1(ONE) 2025 Cheer Choice Awards t-shirt and recognized on
    stage were one lucky winner in each category will be announced.
  6. Donation:
    All proceeds from purchased votes will be donated to Spread The Cheer USA
    and other nonprofit organizations as a means to support positive
    initiatives and causes. Because of this, there will be no refunds of paid
    votes under any circumstances

Live Show:

1.
Live Show Details: The live show will be
held on April 13, 2025 during the Cheer Choice Awards event weekend April
11-13, 2025 in the Pearl Theater located at the Palms Casino and Resort in Las
Vegas, NV.

2.
Winners: Each category’s winner will be announced
during the Cheer Choice Awards live show or beforehand during the 2025 Cheer
Choice Awards weekend. It is possible that
not all winners will be presented with an award on stage but all will be
honored during the live show.


Spread The Cheer USA and its members have the right to disqualify and remove
any nominee at any point from the Cheer Choice Awards without notice if any of the criteria or rules set forth within this contest are not abided by.

The Cheer Choice Awards aims to celebrate the positivity and creativity
fostered by social media influencers. By allowing both free and purchased
votes, the awards show also channels support towards philanthropic endeavors,
creating a holistic platform for spreading positivity and making a lasting
impact.

ADMINISTRATOR; RELEASE; LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

The Cheer Choice Awards are administered by Spread The Cheer USA, which will be entitled to make all final decisions regarding the awards in its sole discretion. Spread The Cheer USA reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to suspend, cancel or modify the Cheer Choice Awards or the outcome at any time if deemed appropiate to do so based on the crteria and rules set forth within the competition or things outside of Spread The Cheer USA’s control, such as weather, natural disaster or cancelation by the event venue. By participating in the Cheer Choice Awards, whether as a nominee, a nominator or otherwise, each participant agrees to release and hold the Cheer Choice Awards and its employees, officers, directors, shareholders, agents, representatives, affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies, consultants and legal advisors, harmless from any and all losses, damages, rights, claims and actions of any kind in connection with the awards, including, without limitation, personal injury, death, and property damage, and claims based on publicity rights, defamation, or invasion of privacy. The Cheer Choice Awards reserves the right to publish all entries wholly or in part, as case studies or for publicity purposes.

PARTICIPANTS AGREE THAT PARTICIPATION IN THE CHEER CHOICE AWARDS SHALL BE AT THEIR SOLE RISK. IN NO EVENT SHALL THE CHEER CHOICE AWARDS BE LIABLE UNDER CONTRACT, TORT, STRICT LIABILITY, NEGLIGENCE OR OTHER LEGAL THEORY (I) FOR ANY LOST PROFITS OR SPECIAL, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, PUNITIVE OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OF ANY KIND WHATSOEVER, SUBSTITUTE GOODS OR SERVICES (HOWEVER ARISING) OR (II) FOR ANY DIRECT DAMAGES IN EXCESS OF (IN THE AGGREGATE) $100. THE FOREGOING LIMITATION OF LIABILITY SHALL APPLY TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW IN THE APPLICABLE JURISDICTION.
NOMINATIONS/VOTING; APPEARANCE RELEASE/RULES

Any and all individuals submitted by a nominator or any other participant in the Cheer Choice Awards is referred to in these Terms of Service as a “Nominee/Nomination.” Each Nominee shall be solely responsible for his or her own participation and any and all risks of liability that may follow by participating in the Cheer Choice Awards. A nomination does not guarantee participation in the Cheer Choice Awards. If selected, great effort will be made to contact a nominee by THE PEOPLE, members, committees, volunteers and representatives of the Cheer Choice Awards. However, if contact is not possible within the designated nominations period, the nominee may be eliminated and no further extensions will be made. By submitting a Nomination, you are stating that the nomination represents and warrants themselves to the best of your knowledge and fits the category in which they are being nominated under. Once selected and confirmed, each Nominee represents that he or she owns or has the necessary licenses, rights, consents, and permissions to his or her submissions (and all content included therein), including the right to authorize Cheer Choice Awards to use their content in the manner contemplated herein. By agreeing to participate, the Nominee/s hereby grants us an irrevocable, worldwide, perpetual, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable and transferable license to use to reproduce, distribute, prepare derivative works of, display, and perform any related content, photos and/or videos in any media formats now or hereafter created and through any media channels now or hereafter created. Finally, by submitting the Nomination, the participant represents and warrants that the submission is not done in violation of any state, federal, or international law or regulation, including, but not limited to, laws regulating personal data protection. Following the Nominations period, the contacted and confirmed nominees will then vote amongst themselves within their respective categories. Cheer Choice Awards reserves the right to alter, adjust, remove or add any Nominees as they deem necessary at any time during the duration of the nominations and/or voting periods. Nominations will be narrowed down to the top five(5) or fewer and those Nominee will be requested to attend the Cheer Choice Awards. Polls will open online at www.cheerchoiceawards.com and online voting will take place to decide one winner from each category. Winners will be announced on stage during the Cheer Choice Awards. In addition, any person who attends the awards ceremony or any other event associated with the Cheer Choice Awards hereby grants us the irrevocable, worldwide, perpetual, royalty-free, sublicensable and transferable right to use, reproduce, distribute, prepare derivative works of, display and perform any audio recordings, photographs, video or other images in which such person may be included that are taken at such event, whether accurate or distorted in character or form, without restrictions to changes or transformations, in conjunction with such person’s own name or a fictitious name at our discretion, or no name at all. The use of any trademark, service mark or logo such as TikTok, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, YouTube or any other media platform is not meant to imply such media outlet’s endorsement of, or affiliation, with The Cheer Choice Awards in any way. We will not tolerate violations of intellectual property rights or copyright infringement. By participating in the Cheer Choice Awards you are giving Spread The Cheer USA and its affiliates permission to contact you for anything pertaining to or related to the event or future events, campaign and marketing.
